Manual retractable screens run out of road long before modern Sunshine Coast homes do. Wide alfresco areas, stacked sliding walls and outdoor rooms need a screen driven by a motor, not an arm.

A 12 metre motorised screen carries real weight and real wind load. The head box has to be dead level across the full span or the screen tracks crooked, and the fixings have to land in structure rather than cladding.
That is a carpentry job before it is a screen job. Fifty years of joinery is what gets the mounting packed properly and the box set true, so the screen still runs in twenty years. Where the opening needs timber work first, it gets done in-house.
